Veste-chemise courte en peau lainée fine : une structure architecturale alliée à l’audace d’une coupe inédite.

She doesn’t seek out glances.

With her peripheral vision, she knows they are all turned toward her. She knows that to dress the refined fleece of fine-wool sheep in shoulder tabs — is a gesture of audacity.

Pointed collar, angled flaps, flared cuffs — like the rays of star anise — dry, architectural, sharp. Appearing man-made, yet created by nature itself.

But all this structure — embodying the image of a shirt-jacket with elements meant for fabric — carries within it the softness and shimmering luster of rare wool. Fleece, laid in waves... in places — slightly tousled.

When the light falls, it doesn’t shine — it glows from within the depths. As if the essential oil of star anise has spilled over the surface and been locked deep within the fibers — dense, enveloping, but with a sting of heat.

This jacket is like a spice that has waited a century to be revealed. To merge into one what once seemed impossible — fur and a construction that never belonged to it.

Therefore, it is simultaneously —

Complex — yet soft.

Unusual — yet familiar to all.

With a warming, spicy aroma — but not for everyone.

The foundation of this shirt-jacket is Xiaohu shearling — a rare regional breed prized for a fleece that is anomalously silky. Unlike traditional, dense sheepskin, the Xiaohu fiber has a minimal diameter and is almost entirely free of coarse guard hairs. This allows the skin to be tanned into an exceptionally thin, fluid canvas that doesn't resist the shirt-like cut, but instead drapes with the weight and grace of heavy silk.

The "wave" effect on the surface is neither embossed nor printed; it is a result of thermal modeling. After the wool is shorn to a precise, uniform height, controlled heat is used to "guide" the fleece. Because the Xiaohu fiber is naturally supple and consistent, it retains this direction, settling into organic, fluid cascades.

The Effect: This process creates a complex optical relief. It is not a shine in the conventional sense, but a living interplay of light within the depths of the wool. In the deep tones of Star Anise and Spilled Ink, this effect is most profound: light does not simply reflect off the surface; it becomes entangled in the curves of the waves, creating an illusion of movement even when still.

Inside, the jacket reveals the "clean face" of the leather. As a true double-faced material, the skin and wool remain one. This allows the garment to retain the thermal inertia of a living material while remaining incredibly light. It is a piece without an underside, where the nature of the material is never hidden behind a lining, but remains open to the touch.

Composition: 100% natural double-faced Xiaohu shearling.
