The stone from which palaces and vases were carved. It is not flat; it lets the light through — just like this blend of linen and lyocell.
The stone that in Samarkand was called "frozen light."
He shortened the shirt and rounded the edges, so it would possess the beauty of gypsum plasterwork.
He kept the collar for Western taste.
He added yokes to attract a sense of support.
But he dropped the shoulders slightly — feeling that he had grown a bit weary.
“Oh! You did not desire Alabaster Mirage?”
The Second Wish: Lapis Shimmer
The Genie clapped his hands, and a cloud of alabaster dust vanished into the air.
“I understand, you crave coolness! You crave an oasis!”
He rubbed the lamp once more... that is, the fabric.
