Jupe maxi en soie de mûrier 6A lourde, coloris Wandering River. Coupe sculpturale à panneaux arqués et parmenture géométrique.

A mere two days had passed since her return from Croatia, yet Montreal had already swept her back into its relentless cadence.
The city greeted her with its evening hum, neon glow, and the thick, warm air of a Canadian summer.
Still, her skin held the memory of that fine, crystalline water mist suspended over Krka. Croatia had stunned her with its sheer purity.
She had traveled there in search of silence—exhausted by endless deadlines, calls, and schedules—but discovered something grander: a primal, restorative force that seemed to wash away every trace of urban dust.

What captivated her most was Skradinski Buk.
She remembered standing on the wooden footbridge, holding her breath before a colossal architecture woven of stone and water.
The rivers of Croatia were unlike any she had seen before; they did not plunge in a violent, blind wall.
Instead, the water here was wise and winding.
It flowed over multi-tiered stone plateaus—ancient travertine terraces layering upon one another like giant scales.
The water meandered between them, seeking out crevices, only to cascade downward not as a single torrent, but through a hundred hidden, delicate springs.
From beneath each rocky ledge emerged its own pure cascade, intricately gathered by nature itself.
And all this fluid, living mass journeyed toward the basin, dissolving into an impossible smoky-azure hue where the shadows of willows drifted.
Closing her eyes, she could still hear that monotonous, soothing murmur of a free river.

On Monday morning, Montreal ruthlessly dialed up its familiar bustle.
First post-vacation meetings, coffee on the run, endless folders crowding her desk.
By midday, it felt as though Croatia had been nothing but a beautiful dream.
The fatigue accumulated over months of work threatened once more to settle on her shoulders.
Seeking a moment to breathe and anchor herself, she stepped out of the office.
The city flowed along its usual course.

Strolling down a quiet street lined with designer boutiques, she froze before a window display.
Behind the glass, draped over a minimalist mannequin, flowed a skirt.
The heavy, matte silk possessed that very same hypnotic shade of Skradinski Buk beneath the morning mist.
She could hardly believe her eyes: the designer who shaped this piece had seemingly looked straight into her memories.

The waistline was a stroke of genius—there was no conventional, rigid waistband.
Instead, the top edge was formed by two overlapping tiers of geometric triangles, creating a multi-layered plateau.
They were identical to the travertine terraces that held the Krka river!
Each triangle was framed by a delicate trim and secured by a vertical median seam.

And directly below these triangles, the true magic unfolded. Integrated inset panels were gently gathered at the top and generously flaring toward the hem.
Watching the mannequin, she could already envision how these panels would unfurl with every step, like those hidden springs breaking free from the main fabric.
The substantial silk promised to fall in heavy, perceptible folds, swirling into a rich and dynamic aqueous spiral around the legs.

"This skirt won't add bulk—it elongates, turning the silhouette into a flowing stream," she thought, feeling that same serene, healing energy of the Croatian waterfalls reawakening within her.

Leaving the boutique, she knew: her journey hadn't ended. It had simply been translated into silk, ready to move in perfect rhythm with her through the streets of her city.

Style Details & Craftsmanship

  • Silhouette & Length

○ Flared, high-volume architectural silhouette

○ Ankle-length (maxi)

  • The Avant-Garde Geometric Facing

○ Breaking the traditional rules of pattern making, the conventional waistband gives way to an innovative, two-tier facing composed of individual triangles, each framed on two sides by delicate trim

○ Stitched "face-to-back" in overlapping layers to flawlessly seal the raw top edge. Each decorative triangle is then inverted to the front and secured by a median seam

○ This creates a multi-dimensional, jagged edge that contours the silhouette perfectly without added bulk, serving as a highly creative structural element

  • The Sculptural Arch Inset Panels

Unlike standard inserts that are simply introduced into a straight slit, these delicately gathered top and generously flared bottom inset panels are seamlessly integrated into elongated arched cutouts

○ Positioned directly below the waistband triangles, they generate a substantially draped, majestic volume that initiates almost at the waistline, yet beautifully elongates the silhouette without adding any bulk to the body's natural proportions

  • Premium Composition & Color

○ Fabric: 6A Grade 100% Heavyweight Mulberry Silk

○ Color: Wandering River.
